Specialisms: Stress, anxiety, depression, loss & bereavement, aspects of identity issues
Leah takes a sensitive, nonjudgemental and client-led approach to exploring how early experiences can shape the way we negotiate the present. She collaborates with clients to help make sense of current thoughts, feelings and behaviours and their possible links to past experiences, to help bring about positive change and growth.
Prior to qualifying as a therapist Leah worked in media and communications where she became skilled at communicating complex ideas in clear and relatable ways. She finds it important to use this communication style in her therapeutic work too, to support clients who are often seeking clarity and meaning from therapy. Since qualifying, Leah has worked as a counselling skills tutor, alongside her clinical practice. In addition to her PGDip she has also undertaken further training in CBT, working with difference, perinatal mental health and mental health first aid. She typically works with clients in weekly sessions, short or long term, on an open-ended basis.

Leah really listened and had thoughtful ideas that helped me understand myself on a much deeper level. I always left our sessions feeling supported and had a positive experience..
